Catechism Classes
Catechism class is a Bible instruction course designed for students in 7th and 8th grades. This two-year course meets during the regular school year (days and times are determined by participants' schedules) and is taught by the pastor.
The purpose of this class is to develop Christian knowledge and a Christian attitude. The children learn of the great things that God has done for us, gain greater understanding of what God teaches in the Bible, and apply Scripture to their daily lives, thereby preparing them to participate in the sacrament of Holy Communion. In studying God's Word it is our prayer that at the same time they also develop an attitude of faithfulness, respect, and joy.
In addition to studying very important passages from the Bible, the students also go through Martin Luther's Small Catechism
